NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From Porto Funeral Home): Richard J. Pianka Sr., 81, of North Haven, beloved husband of 59 years to Alberta Leonardo Pianka passed away on January 5, 2024 at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods of East Haven.
Loving father of Richard J. (Elizabeth) Pianka Jr of Branford, Lisa (George) Harris of Clinton and Paul (Maureen) Pianka of North Haven. Richard is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Nancy (Karl) Almeida of Trumbull and Raymond (Elaine) Pianka of Palm Bay, FL.
Richard was born in New Haven on July 1, 1942, son of the late Joseph and Helen Rakowski Pianka.
