Rita E. Velardi Barclay, 76, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William Barclay. Rita was born on October 7, 1941 in New Haven and was the daughter of the late Fred and Rita D’Errico Velardi Sr. Rita enjoyed trips to the casino, dancing and loved her sweets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mother of William (Heather) Barclay and Carolann (Bruce) Randall. Grandmother of Jennifer, Jessica and Julia Randall, Dylan and Shawn Barclay. Sister of Fred (Diana) Velardi, Jr. and the late Margaret “Marge” Velardi. Aunt of Sara Velardi Rockafella.
