Obituary: Robert D. Deming, 54; Formerly Of North Haven

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Robert D. Deming, 54, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at MidState Medical Center after battling cancer. He was the loving husband of Karin M. (Brunner) Deming.

Robert was born in New Haven, December 14, 1968, a son of the late Herbert and Rita (Bjornberg) Deming and was raised in North Haven.

He graduated from North Haven High School in 1986. It was there where he became high school sweethearts with Karin. They later married and started a family in Wallingford. His family was the most important thing in his life. His love of the Dallas Cowboys was close second!

He worked for the Wallingford Board of Education at Moran Middle School. Robert was genuinely kind and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his wife Karin, he is survived by his sons, Christopher Deming and Ryan Deming of Wallingford; his brother, Peter Deming of North Haven; his sisters and brother-in-law, Kimberly Dell of Wallingford, and Kenneth Brunner Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Warwick, RI; his nieces and nephew, Jocelin Dell, and Dylan and Sophie Brunner. He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Joan Brunner.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Saturday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interment will be private. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society: www.cancer.org.
