Rose Giannattasio Greco, 98, of Branford, formerly of East Haven, beloved wife of 43 years to the late Benjamin Greco, passed away on February 28, 2026 surrounded by her family at Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation at Branford Hills. Loving mother of Robert (Janet) Greco of New Milford, Richard Greco of Oxford, Nicholas (Maria) Greco of East Haven, Daniel (Cathy) Greco of Charleston, SC and the late Nancy D’Angelo. Rose is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Sister of the late Jean Andreucci and Daniel Giannattasio, Jr. Rose was born in New Haven on September 21, 1927 daughter of the late Daniel “Butch” and Mae Taylor Giannattasio. Prior to retiring, she devoted many years to her work in bookkeeping at First Bank and Bank of America. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Ark, with special appreciation for the nurses and CNAs of BH2 and BH3.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven FRIDAY morning, March 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
