Obituary: Thomas Francis White, 91, of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home): Thomas Francis White, 91, of North Haven, passed away Wed., Nov. 3,2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Emily Ferraiolo White for 69 years. Also survived by three sons, Thomas (former wife Karen) White of North Haven, Bruce (Teresa) White of Millbury. FL and Brian (Joyce) White of Dallas TX, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepmother Viola Woodman White and a brother James White.

Thomas was born Nov. 29,1930 in New Haven a son of the late James and Bertha Pastore White, attended the former St. Mary's High School in New Haven, served in the U.S. Navy for four years and then went to the University of New Haven where he earned a B.A. in business. He was employed for over 40 years with the United Illuminating Co from where he retired. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E Lodge # 25 in New Haven and had coached his son's baseball teams when they were younger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wed. morning at 11 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Hamden. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Calling hours at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden will be Wed. morning prior to the mass from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, 1275 Peachtree St., NE, Atlanta GA, 30309-356 or online at bgca.org.
