Officer Saves Baby’s Life At Movie Theater In North Haven

The officer immediately stepped into action when a newborn baby wasn't breathing, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — In a dramatic scene that could have been featured in a movie, a North Haven Police officer is being hailed as a hero for saving a baby’s life at the Cinemark Movie theater on Universal Drive in North Haven on Saturday night.

Police said a woman rushed out of a movie theater with a newborn baby who was not breathing. Det. Michael Harton, who was working a detail at the theater on Universal Drive, immediately stepped into action, according to police.

“He took the baby from the mother and performed life-saving measures reviving the infant,” police said in a post on Facebook. “We are proud of our hard working, dedicated officers who are there to serve our community.”
