Victim Identified in Fiery 3-Vehicle Fatal Accident in North Haven: UPDATE
BREAKING: State Police said the accident occurred early Sunday and several others were injured.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — State Police confirm one person died in an early morning accident on Interstate 91 in North Haven. Benjamin Franklin Morant Jr., 34, of New Haven died in the accident, State Police said Sunday.
The accident occurred at 2:40 a.m. by Exit 11 and involved three vehicles, State Police said. One vehicle was engulfed in flames. At least 3 people were transported to a local hospital with minor or non-life-threatening injuries, Kelly Grant said.
The highway was closed until 7 a.m. as troopers investigated, State Police said. When State Police arrived troopers found three vehicles, a 2004 Ford F-150, a 2015 Ford Fiesta, and a 2004 Jeep Liberty stopped on the highway.

The operator of the Ford Fiesta, Morant, sustained fatal injuries, and the operators and occupants of the Ford F-150 and Jeep Liberty were transported to local hospitals for the evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.
