Update: 87-Year Old Man Found in Larchmont

The following release was issued by the North Haven Police Department.

Update 8/24, 6:40 p.m. :

North Haven resident Neil Beckwith, reported missing this afternoon has been located in Larchmont, New York by Larchmont Police. He is unharmed but confused. His family has been notified and is enroute to pick him up.

Reported as missing from his home in North Haven is a Neil Beckwith, 87 yr old white male with grey hair and brown eyes and a medium complexion.

He is 5'10" and 145 lbs and was last seen wearing grey slacks, white & blue checked long sleeved shirt, white sneakers and glasses. He normally wears a U.S. Navy baseball style cap.

He is operating CT 129FUM on a 2004 Subaru Outback station wagon color tan and silver and was last seen leaving a friend's home in North Haven but apparently never arrived at his home. 

As recently as this afternoon there was activity on Beckwith's debit card in West Haven. F

amily members report he is suffering from some memory loss and quite possibly the onset of dementia.

He is not on any medication that he needs to ingest daily.

State Police have been contacted with this information and are issuing a Silver Alert.
