NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police shut down a "car gathering" of more than 200 vehicles Friday night in North Haven, according to officials. Officials said North Haven police were notified around 9:50 p.m. of a large "car gathering" with more than 200 vehicles heading to Universal Drive. "Officers quickly mobilized and ensured our streets would not be blocked," police wrote in a post on Facebook late Friday night. "After shutting down the event they traveled to a neighboring municipality. We are currently assisting them with the 'car gathering.'"
