Prescription Drug Takeback Collection In North Haven

Residents can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs at the collection on April 27.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Residents can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs during a takeback collection at the North Haven Fire Headquarters on April 27. The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at fire headquarters, located at 11 Broadway in North Haven, the North Haven Substance Abuse Action Council announced.

“The public (will have) another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs,” according to the council. “Bring your medications for disposal to Fire Headquarters at 11 Broadway, North Haven, CT. Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

“If you can’t make this date, the North Haven Police have a secure box in the PD lobby for unwanted prescription drugs.”
