NORTH HAVEN - Representatives from more than 50 law schools across the country will gather at the Quinnipiac University School of Law, 370 Bassett Road, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, for the Connecticut Law Fair.

The fair will give prospective law students an opportunity to learn more about the law school admissions process as well as the academic programs, career services, financial aid and scholarships available at the participating law schools.

“For anyone considering law school, a fair like this is a real benefit,” said Joan Metzler, associate dean of law admissions and financial aid at Quinnipiac. “You’ll hear from schools you are familiar with – and have a chance to learn about new ones. Talking 1-on-1 with the law school representatives is a great opportunity to ask your own questions and gain real insights. We’re really pleased and proud to be hosting this event.”

In addition, a pre-fair panel will be held from 10-11 a.m. Representatives from the East Meets West Coast Law Consortium, a group of law school admissions experts, will break down what prospective students need to know about the law school application process, including LSATs, personal statements, resumes, and character and fitness disclosures. The consortium includes Quinnipiac Law, New York Law School, Howard University, Roger Williams University School of Law, Southwestern Law School and the University of Washington School of Law.

The panel and fair are free and open to the public, although pre-registration is requested at go.qu.edu/lawfair. Walk-ins are also welcome.
