Wanda Delau Klammer

Wanda Delau Klammer, 98, of North Haven passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown. She was the wife of the late Alexander Klammer.

Born in Pismaki Kreis Limpo, Poland on October 20, 1912; a daughter of the late Ferdynand and Pauline Bartz Delau. Wanda came to the United States from Germany with her family in 1952; she was a full time gardener; a licensed bee-keeper and a member of Grace Covenant Church.

Mother of Erhard Klammer of Pasadena, CA, Ingrid (Elmer) Morann, Irma Heilbron all of North Haven and Frieda (Michael) Heath of Killingsworth. Sister of Ludwig Delau of Germany. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by three sisters and a brother.

Private funeral services were conducted under the direction of the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.

Ann F. Guida Eddy

Ann F. Guida Eddy 87, of East Haven wife of the late Nelson Eddy Sr. passed away on August 24, 2011 in Ct. Hospice.

Mother of Nelson (Vivian) Eddy Jr. of North Haven and Wayne (Donna) Eddy of Branford. Sister of Mary Cummings of New Haven, Peggy Lecza of Arizona and the late Madeline Sugrue and Lewis Guida. Grandmother of Jeffrey Eddy, Tricia (Eric) DaCosta, Michael(Katie) Eddy and Alicia and Stephen Eddy. Great grandmother of Gavin Eddy and Eric DaCosta. Prior to her retirement in 1984 Ann was employed at Blue Cross and also a member of the Our Lady of Pompeii Church Ladies Guild.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven SATURDAY morning at 11:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:30 A.M. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call on SATURDAY morning from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

John “Jack” Brennan

John “Jack” Brennan, 88, of North Haven passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Eleanore Nobile Brennan.

Born in Norwich on November 19, 1922; son of the late Timothy B. and Sarah Mitchell Brennan. Jack served his country faithfully as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II and had also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had worked for the SNET Company for 40 years retiring as a District Manager. Jack was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge; the Westerly Yacht Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Father of Jay (Lisa) Brennan and Meg Fitzpatrick all of North Haven. Grandfather of Jay Brennan, Ryan “Whitey” Brennan, Brianna and Luke Fitzgerald. Brother-in-law of Claire Brennan of Jewett City. Uncle of Tim (Marcia) Brennan, Ellen (Ted) Warzecha, Patty (Jerry) McKinney and the late Janet LeClare. Longtime friend of Grace Quinley of Norwich. Predeceased by his siblings, Timothy Brennan, Jr., Mary Avdevich, Rose and Thomas Brennan.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 11:00 am. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
