Road Closure Announced In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police announced a road closure that will be in effect Wednesday afternoon as the body of fallen firefighter Matthias Wirtz is escorted back to North Haven.

The road closure is in the area of Route 5 at I-91 Exit 12 off ramps, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., along with portions of Route 22 near Route 5, according to police.

“Please avoid the area and be patient,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We thank the community for their continued support.”
