School Employee Reported False Bomb Threat: North Haven Police
The woman claimed her daughter was afraid to go to school due to a supposed bomb threat, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she reported a false bomb threat at a school where she worked.
Police received a call around 7 a.m. from a woman who claimed her daughter was afraid to go to school due to a supposed bomb threat, according to officials.
The caller was “uncooperative” and wouldn’t provide more information before hanging up on the dispatcher, police said.

The school is located in North Haven, but isn’t a North Haven Public School, according to police.
“Investigators quickly determined the report to be non-credible and worked with school administration who decided to continue with normal operations,” police wrote in a news release. “Investigators were able to identify the caller as an employee of the school.”

Sharthia Bradley, 37, of New Haven, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. in connection with the incident, according to police.
She was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree false report of an incident, and misuse of the 911 system.
