Driver Found Dead On I-91 In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man was found dead in a car on I-91 North near Exit 9 in North Haven on Tuesday night, according to WTNH News 8. The incident was initially reported as an accident with serious injuries by the North Haven Fire Department as crews were responding to the scene. However, there was no crash involved and Connecticut State Police found a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of the highway.

The New Haven Register reports the driver, who was found to be slumped over at the wheel by state troopers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is being investigated as an untimely death, according to the Register.
