NORTH HAVEN, CT — One person has been hospitalized with serious injuries in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Route 5 in North Haven, according to fire officials. Police are advising motorists to avoid Route 5 near Franklin Street. The North Haven Fire Department wrote in a post on Twitter that the crash occurred at Washington Avenue (Route 5) and Clintonville Road (Route 22). "Expect delays and seek alternate route if possible," fire officials wrote on Twitter. "FD medic assisting with one transport to YNHH with serious injuries."UPDATE: The road reopened as of 7 p.m., according to police. This story will be updated when more information is available.
