Shoplifting Teens Found With Fake Gun, Live Ammunition: North Haven PD
Police said one teen had an electric hammer that's used for quickly breaking windows, and live ammo, and the other had a fake Glock gun.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two teens were arrested Monday afternoon after police said they were caught shoplifting and found in possession of burglar tools, a fake gun, and live ammunition.
Police responded around 1:20 p.m. July 29 to Dick’s Sporting Goods on Universal Drive on the report of a shoplifting involving what appeared to be two juveniles on bikes, according to officials.
“Both juveniles fled the area in separate directions and were located shortly after our officers arrived,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The two juveniles, both 17, were subsequently arrested. One juvenile was found in possession of an electric hammer/window punch, commonly used for quickly breaking windows, along with a live shotgun round. The other juvenile was in possession of a facsimile Glock firearm.”

Both juveniles were arrested. One was charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of burglary tools and criminal possession of ammunition. The other was charged with sixth-degree larceny and possession of a facsimile firearm.
