Shot Fired During Incident At Park: North Haven Police

A man with a gun approached two people in a vehicle, demanded they empty their pockets and a struggle ensued, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a shot was fired during an incident at a park in North Haven on Saturday night.

Police said the incident happened around 9 p.m. at Grover Wyman Park on Blakeslee Avenue. Two victims in a vehicle were approached by a man who displayed a gun, according to police.

The victims told police that the suspect demanded they empty their pockets, and a brief struggle ensued between the suspect and a victim, according to police.

Police said a shot was fired during the struggle and nobody was struck, and the suspect left the area.

Detectives responded to the scene and police said the suspect wasn’t believed to be in the area and there was no threat to the community.
