Stolen Car From Danbury Found In North Haven: Police
Police said they recently responded to a report of a "suspicious vehicle" complaint.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A car reported stolen out of Danbury was discovered in North Haven, police said.
At 1:15 a.m. on July 21, police responded to the area of Hartford Turnpike and Allendale Drive for the report of a "suspicious vehicle," police said.
Police said they found the vehicle located on a grassy area of a nearby apartment complex entrance, running and unoccupied.

A man and two women were located nearby the vehicle, police said.
"During the course of the investigation the 3 individuals were interviewed and provided inconsistent statements from one another," police said in a news release.

Police said that William Higgins, 22, of West Haven, provided a false name several times to officers. Police said the vehicle in question was also found to be reported stolen from Danbury.
Higgins is charged with interfering with an officer and third-degree larceny.
