Student, 13, Charged After Bringing Knife To School: North Haven PD

The student brought a knife and scissors to a school in North Haven in anticipation of a pending fight, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 13-year-old boy was arrested Monday after police said he brought a knife to a school in North Haven.

North Haven officers responded to the school, which police said is not a North Haven Public School, on March 27. It was reported that staff had confiscated a weapon from a juvenile at the school, according to police.

Police found that a 13-year-old boy had a knife and scissors seized from him by staff.

“It was alleged the student had brought the items to school in anticipation of a pending fight,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.

The knife was seized by North Haven officers and the juvenile was issued a summons to juvenile court, according to police. He was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds.
