Students Receive DAR Good Citizen Award Recognition

D.A.R. Good Citizen Awards honoring local high school and middle school students


The Mary Clap Wooster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently presented good citizen awards to students from ten area high schools and good citizenship medals to three middle school students. The students, who consistently demonstrated good citizenship, leadership, service, honor and courage, were chosen by their schools. In addition to a monetary gift, the high school students each received a certificate and pin, and the middle school students each received a certificate and medal.

High school students who were honored are, from left to right: Gleimy Rodriguez of Hill Regional Career Magnet High School, Lauryn Bryant of Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School, Patricia Jimenez of James Hillhouse High School, MariaGrazia Scarano of North Haven High School, Nicholos Neil of Hamden High School, Andrew Brian Gordon of West Haven High School, Clare Staib-Kaufman of Amity Regional High School, and Ian Bergemann of Branford High School. Missing from the photo is Naiya Patel of East Haven High School and Noraida Santana of Wilbur Cross High School.
