Summer Reading Fest Kicks Off In North Haven

There will be games, crafts, food trucks, and fun for all ages, according to organizers.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Are you ready to adventure through our enchanted forest as we kick off Summer Reading 2024 at the North Haven Memorial Library? If so, please join us on Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our annual kick-off to Summer Reading Fest.

The Free Summer Reading Fest will have activities and fun for all ages. While you’re here enjoy games, balloon animals, crafts, performances by School of Rock and Bring the Hoopla, as well as Meigs Point Nature Center and a poetry reading by North Haven’s Poet Laureate, Gabriella Brand.

In addition to Library staff, high school volunteers and representatives from the Friends of the North Haven Library, as well as other local organizations will also be on site.

Food trucks will be available to satisfy your hunger (there is a charge for food trucks). Festivities begin promptly at 11 a.m., rain or shine. If the weather is inclement, the Summer Reading Fest will be held inside the library.
