NORTH HAVEN, CT — The North Haven Memorial Library, located at 17 Elm St., will host a Carnival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 to kick off the library’s Summer Reading Programs.

“Library staff, high school volunteers and representatives from several local organizations will be on site to help spread the merrymaking,” according to organizers. “Enjoy game booths, entertainment, balloons, face painting and performances by North Haven High School Jazz members and Magician Chick Kelman. Have fun with a hands-on exhibit from Peabody Museum, watch a Yale Open Labs Robotics Demonstration, win prizes, meet the New Britain Bees mascot and best of all it is free!”

Food trucks will also be on hand (there is a charge for items on these trucks). Festivities begin promptly at 11 a.m. The event is rain or shine. If the weather is inclement, the carnival will be held in the library and the Rec Center.
