Teen, 14, Dragged By Vehicle; 15-Year-Old Charged: North Haven Police

A 14-year-old girl was hospitalized with serious injuries after being dragged by a vehicle, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured after being dragged by a vehicle Sunday in North Haven, according to police.

Police responded around 5:10 p.m. to a home on the report of a serious injury involving a 14-year-old.

The juvenile received medical care at the scene and was taken to a local hospital for more treatment, according to police.

Police said the 14-year-old was able to say that she was dragged by a vehicle, which caused her injuries.

A 15-year-old juvenile was identified as the suspect and arrested on Monday morning, according to police.

The 15-year-old was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said an order to detain was obtained, and the 15-year-old was taken to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center. The 15-year-old was also charged with larceny of a motor vehicle on an outstanding arrest warrant out of North Haven, according to police.
