Teen, 15, Charged With Stealing Car In North Haven: Police
Police said the teen has a history of prior car thefts. The stolen car was later found in Hamden.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 15-year-old boy has been charged with stealing a car out of North Haven earlier this year. Police said the teen has a history of prior car thefts.
The vehicle was stolen from Cumberland Farms in North Haven on June 25 and was later found on Shepard Avenue in Hamden. After recovering the car, detectives processed the vehicle and obtained video surveillance from areas on Route 80 in New Haven, according to police.
Police said the 15-year-old was developed as a suspect during the course of the investigation. He was located and interviewed and police secured a juvenile arrest warrant for him. The teen was charged Wednesday while in court for an unrelated robbery arrest.

The teen was charged with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny for his crimes in North Haven. He is currently on an ankle-monitoring program, according to police.
