Teen, 18, Charged In Vehicle Theft, Shooting Incident: North Haven PD
Police said an investigation found that four young men in a stolen car were shooting pellets from a fake gun at women in a parking lot.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — An 18-year-old Meriden resident has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle last December in North Haven, according to police.
Police responded to the 400 block of Washington Avenue in December 2022 on the report of shots fired, officials said.
The investigation found that “four young men in a stolen car were shooting pellets from a facsimile firearm at women in a parking lot,” according to police.

Police said the stolen vehicle was later located and processed for forensic evidence.
Robert Barbera, 18, was identified as one of the suspects and was arrested Wednesday on a warrant, according to police.

Barbera was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle – first offense and second-degree breach of peace. He was being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 30, according to state judicial records.
Barbera was also arrested by Meriden police last month in connection with an arson fire involving a stolen vehicle at Hubbard Park in August.
