Teen, 19, Charged After Trespassing Near School: North Haven PD
Police said the 19-year-old never tried to enter the school and no children were at risk.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with a domestic-related incident near an elementary school in North Haven on Wednesday morning, according to police.
The school resource officer at Clintonville School saw a man near a wooded area of the school property around 11:15 a.m., according to police.
Police said that “out of caution for the students and staff,” patrol officers were sent to assist the school resource officer with the investigation. The man was located and detained.

“At no time were any students or staff at risk, and there is no risk to the public in the immediate area,” police said.
The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and violation of a protective order, police said in an update on Wednesday.

“The incident is domestic related, and the suspect is believed to have been focusing on a residence near the school,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The suspect never attempted to enter the school and no children were at risk.”
