Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden Worship Service - January 31, 2016

January 24th Faith Across Belief A joint worship service with Baitul Aman Mosque Leaders: Wajid Danish Ahmed, Rev. Dr. Jan Carlsson-Bull

Amid these days when Islamaphobia is so cruel and relentless, it is especially timely to join hands and hearts and explore how we as Unitarian Universalists might live our faith across belief with our Muslim neighbors from the Baitul Aman Mosque“(House of Peace”) right here in Meriden. How might we learn from Wajid Danish Ahmed and his congregation about what has become a mantra for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Connecticut: “Love for All-Hatred for None”

Come join us for this gathering of faith across belief and for a lunch that will directly follow worship. For UU Meriden members and friends, please bring an entrée, salad, or dessert to share generously, keeping in mind the dietary practices of our Muslim neighbors. May a deeper friendship blossom and solidarity be our response to an ongoing call for love and justice.
