Unresponsive Woman Revived After Overdose On I-91: North Haven PD

North Haven police officers helped revive an unresponsive woman after she suffered an overdose on I-91.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven police officers helped revive an unresponsive woman after she suffered an overdose on I-91 on Monday night. Police responded to the area of Montowese Avenue and the I-91 Exit 9 off ramp around 7:50 p.m. on the report of a possible drug overdose.

Police found a 31-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, unresponsive.

“Officers Marcus Artaiz and Joseph Bianchi provided the victim Narcan, while additional officers and medical personnel were en-route,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “North Haven Fire and AMR responded and continued to provide aid to the female, who regained consciousness and was transported for further evaluation.”

Police found that the woman recently bought heroin from outside North Haven and began suffering from overdose symptoms while traveling on the highway, according to officials.
