Veterans’ Group Endorses North Haven State Representative Candidate Steve Gifford

North Haven, CT — Democratic candidate for State Representative Steve Gifford welcomed being named as a VoteVets "emerging leader".

Gifford is a former Army officer, and served two combat tours in Iraq. He is a member of the VFW, IAVA, and North Haven's American Legion Post 76.

VoteVets is a national, 400,000 member organization that uses public issue campaigns to give a voice to veterans on matters of national security, veterans' care, and everyday issues that affect the lives of those who served, and their families.

"I am proud of my service," Gifford said, "and appreciate this endorsement. This organization has worked hard to improve our country's treatment and perception of veterans. As a state representative, I will continue to improve our state for veterans and their families."
