Wallingford Man Accused of Illegal Excavation in North Haven
Robert Neubig had been issued a cease-and-desist order for his property on Valley Service Road.

A Wallingford man is accused of illegally excavating his property in North Haven after a cease and desist order was upheld and he was arrested twice on Thursday, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports that Robert Neubig, 57, was charged for the alleged illegal excavation and then was also arrested by Amtrak Police, accused of excavating material from property owned by Amtrak. He was charged by Amtrak police with criminal trespass, damage to railroad property and reckless endangerment, according to the Register.
A North Haven Inlands Wetlands Enforcement officer issued Neubig a cease and desist order for the property, 480 Valley Service Road, on Dec. 3 after observing several violations that damaged the preservation of the town’s inland wetlands.
