Winter Weather Advisory Issued for North Haven

The National Weather Service warns of dangerous driving conditions for the rest of the night.

Things certainly appear to be worse out there than originally anticipated and the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for North Haven.

The advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3.

The National Weather service warns of hazardous conditions with freezing rain, sleet and snow with snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 2 inches along with a few hundredths of an inch of ice.

Temperatures will be in the lower 30s with snow and sleet continuing for the remainder of the afternoon then a mix of freezing rain, snow and sleet early this evening before changing to all rain late tonight.

There will also be wind gusts up to 20 mph.
