Woman Dies After Husband Hits Her With Car In Driveway: Police
North Haven Police say a woman has died from her injuries after being run over by a car driven by her husband in their driveway.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A woman has died from injuries sustained after being struck by a car driven by her husband in their driveway on Thursday night, according to North Haven Police. At about 7:20 p.m. on May 10, emergency crews responded to a home in the 100 block of Scrub Oak Road on the report of a woman struck by a vehicle, according to police.
Police said the woman’s husband, Francesco Suppa, was the driver of the car and claimed it was an accident. Upon further investigation, police said they learned the couple was involved in a dispute prior to the crash.
“Mr. Suppa started his vehicle and sped in reverse down his driveway towards Scrub Oak Road striking his wife and dragging her prior to stopping and driving forward,” police said in a press release.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. North Haven Detectives took Suppa into custody and charged him with first-degree assault. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
Police learned early Friday morning that the victim has died from her injuries. Police said it is an ongoing domestic violence investigation and the victim’s identity will not be released at this time.
