Woman Found Dead in North Haven

Police say the 21-year-old woman was found at the site of a small subdivision on Patten Road Saturday afternoon.

A 21-year-old North Haven woman was found dead Saturday afternoon at the base of a rock ledge on Patten Road, according to police.

Police said Bria Gray, who lived on Patten Road, was found lying on the ground, and wasn’t moving, at about 4:10 p.m. by the owner of a small subdivision on Patten Road.

The owner, who was on the property to show a lot to a perspective buyer, called 911.

Police said the subdivision is in the excavation process and there are no homes built yet.

North Haven Police and Paramedics responded and found Gray at the base of a rock ledge. She was pronounced dead at 4:26 p.m. by North Haven Paramedics.

The Investigative Services Division of the North Haven Police Department along with the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene Saturday afternoon.

Police said the investigative efforts revealed Gray sustained injuries consistent with falling from the ledge. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is in the process of determining the cause of death.
