Woman Stole $1K Worth Of Sneakers: North Haven Police

Police are asking for help identifying a woman they say stole more than $1,000 worth of sneakers from a store in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The North Haven Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying a woman accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of sneakers from DSW, according to police. The theft occurred on Aug. 30 when police say the woman (pictured) concealed 14 pairs of brand name sneakers into a large black DSW shopping bag by taking the sneakers out of the boxes and putting them into the bag.

The woman then walked out of the store, triggering both merchandise alarms with $1,095.26 worth of sneakers without paying, according to police. To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.

The suspect is described by police as a female with long black hair, wearing a black tank top, leggings and slide sandals. Employees described her vehicle as a gold-colored Jeep-type vehicle.
