14th Annual Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run to Benefit Cancer Services at Norwalk Hospital
The event features a 5k run at 8:30 am, a 3k walk at 10:30 am, live music by DNR, post-walk Dance Party, Kids Zone activities and Kids Dash

NORWALK, Connecticut, March 30, 2017 – Join us on Saturday, April 29, 2017 when nearly 2,000 people - community residents, businesses, civic groups, church and school teams will gather at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk for the 14th Annual Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run. Participants can register online at www.nhwalkrun.org.
Created by grateful patients in 2004, the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run is a fun and inspiring community driven event that has raised more than $2.75 million to support Whittingham Cancer Center programs and services, including:
- Individual, group and family counseling
- Patient navigation
- Genetic counseling
- Patient education
- Support groups
- Clinical trials
- Integrative medicine services
- Pastoral care
The event features a 5k run at 8:30 am, a 3k walk at 10:30 am with live music by the DNR Band, a post-walk Dance Party, Kids Zone activities, and a Kids Dash event. Registration for this rain or shine benefit begins at 7:30 am for the run and 9 am for the walk.

Registration fee for children age 5 to 18 is $15, and anyone over the age of 18 who registers before March 31st can take advantage of the discounted registration fee of $25 ($30 thereafter). Children age 5 and under are free as is parking. Please note that no pets are allowed per the City of Norwalk. Proceeds from the walk/run will help the Whittingham Cancer Center in its efforts to continue to provide local residents with the best cancer care without compromise close to home.
Participants and teams that raise more than $1,000 will be listed on the walk/run T-shirt and on the event thank you banner. So walk, run, create a team, join a team or make a donation in honor of a loved one. All donations made in support of the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run are tax-deductible.
