2 Dead, 1 Injured In Norwalk Car Crash: PD

Police said a car crash in Norwalk left two people dead and one injured.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk police said two people are dead and one is injured following a car crash Monday night at approximately 10:11 p.m. Police said the incident occurred in front of 789 Connecticut Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found two cars in the roadway with extensive damage, according to a release. Police said two men were found deceased in one vehicle and one man was found with serious injuries in the other vehicle.

The Norwalk Fire Department extricated all three males from the vehicles, one of which was transported to the Norwalk Hospital, police said. Connecticut Avenue was closed for several hours while officers investigated the incident.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on Connecticut Avenue and had a head-on collision. Police have not yet released the identity of the victims.
