2 Dogs Rescued From Hot Cars In Norwalk: Report

Police said two dogs were rescued from hot cars during one of the hottest days of the summer.

NORWALK, CT — Police said two people were charged with cruelty to animals Wednesday after police rescued two dogs from hot cars during one of the hottest days of the summer, the Norwalk Hour reported.

According to the Hour, police said a New Fairfield man was charged with leaving a dog inside a car with slightly opened windows in a Main Avenue parking lot for nearly 30 minutes. Later, a Norwalk suspect was charged with leaving a dog in a car outside the Norwalk Health Department for nearly an hour, police said.
