2 Injured In Norwalk Shooting: Police

The shooting occurred Monday afternoon on Woodward Avenue, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — Two people suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon when they were hit by bullet fragments in a shooting on Woodward Avenue near Grove Street in Norwalk, according to police.

One of the victims was treated at Norwalk Hospital and released following the 5:15 p.m. shooting. The second victim declined medical attention.

"[Norwalk police] Detectives found shell casings at the scene and are currently canvassing for witnesses and obtaining video footage of the incident," said Lt. Jared Zwickler in a statement, adding that the shooting "appears to be an isolated incident."
