2 Norwalk Police Officers Receive Promotions
The officers received their promotion during a recent Norwalk Police Commission meeting.

NORWALK, CT — Sergeant Jared Zwickler was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Detective Tomasz Podgorski was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during Monday's Norwalk Police Commission meeting.
According to a press release, Zwickler was hired on Feb. 5, 2010, and was promoted to Detective in 2014 and Sergeant in 2015. Zwickler, who is a member of the Emergency Services Unit Intelligence Unit, has received the Distinguished Service Award, Meritorious Commendation Certificate, Unit Citation and Officer of the Month awards. Podgorski was hired on June 28, 2012 and was promoted to Detective in 2016. Podgorski, who is a member of the Emergency Services Unit Tactical Response Team, has received a Unit Citation and Officer of the Month awards. He will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a supervisor.
