2 Norwalk High Schools Among Top 100 In CT: U.S. News & World Report

The publication recently released its 2026-27 "Best High Schools rankings."

NORWALK, CT — Two Norwalk high schools are among the top 100 in Connecticut, according to the U.S. News & World Report recently released 2026-27 Best High Schools rankings.

The publication evaluated thousands of public high schools throughout the country to determine its national and state rankings, looking at measures including college readiness, graduation rates and student achievement.

Center for Global Studies ranked 55th among schools in Connecticut and 2,875th nationally while P-Tech Norwalk ranked 94th in the state and 5,073rd nationally, according to the report.

Additionally, Norwalk High School ranked 109th in the state while Brien McMahon High School ranked 118th in Connecticut, according to the report.

Additionally, the publication reviewed how well a school educates underserved students, and participation and performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, among other criteria.

The rankings use data from the 2023-2024 school year and were produced with research firm RTI International.
