2 South Norwalk Vape Shops Cited, Items Seized: Police

NORWALK, CT — Two South Norwalk smoke shops and their employees were cited Friday following searches of both businesses, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said officers searched Sono One Stop and Exotic Smoke Shop, both located on Washington Street in SoNo, around 6:30 p.m.

According to Evarts, searches were conducted at both shops after the department received a number of complaints of vape and tobacco sales to minors and illegal sales of marijuana and other items that contained high levels of THC.

The following items were seized from Sono One Stop, according to Evarts:

• 28 THC Gummies-500 MG per bag
• 50 pre-rolled THC Blunt Containers (5 pieces each container)
• 26 Trinity Spinny THC Vapes
• 55 Cali D8 THC Pre-Roll
• 30 Hemp 8 THC D8 1g Pre-Roll
• 9 Hemp 8 THC D8 1g Pre-Roll
• 34 Hemp 8 THC 1.5g Pre-Roll
• 44 Illegal Gummies THC/Hemp
• 23 Illegal THC Vape Cartridges/ Pens
• 82 Marijuana Pre-rolls
• 14 Marijuana Edibles
• 34 THC Vapes/ Cartridges
• 24 Cannabis Flower Packages
• $328 U.S. Currency

Additionally, an employee at the store was charged with illegal sale or manufacture of cannabis and possession of >1.5 <5 oz of cannabis.

The employee was also charged on two outstanding warrants for illegal sale of tobacco to a minor, Evarts said. Their bond was set at $1,050.

• 233 THC Gummies/Edibles (Back Room)
• 128 Marijuana Pouches (3.5g each)
• 14 Marijuana containers (3.5g each)
• 25 Pre-rolled joints (2.5g each)
• 18 Pre-rolled joints (1.7g each)
• 42 Pre-rolled joints (1g each)
• 12 Pre-rolled joints (.05g each)
• 78 Pre-rolled joints (2g each) (Back Room)
• 83 Pre-rolled joints (1g each) (Back Room)
• 10 Pre-rolled joints (2.5g each) (Back Room)
• 1 Pre-rolled joint (2.25g) (Back Room)

Additionally, an employee at the store was charged with possession of >1.5 <5oz of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and sale of 1 kilogram or more of cannabis.

Their bond was set at $1,500, according to Evarts.
