2 Stew Leonard's Employees Awarded Scholarships By Norwalk Store

Stew Leonard's in Norwalk has announced the winners of their annual scholarship program.

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk announced the winners of their annual scholarship program Tuesday. This year, the "World's Largest Dairy Store" is recognizing two team members who who are currently attending Norwalk Community College.

According to Director of Public Relations Meghan Bell, employees Evelin Jaimes and Nancy Lopez were this year's recipients of the scholarship, which awards $1,000 a year for up to four years to help students further enhance their educational objectives and career goals for the future.

Jaimes joined Stew Leonard’s in November 2017 and has held duties both at the front end of the store and at the store's "Little Farm." She is studying to become a veterinarian and would specifically like to work with wild animals.

Lopez has been at the store since August 2017 and has also held duties both at the front end of the store and at the Little Farm. She is studying to become a clothing designer.

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the employee must be attending or planning to attend an accredited college. Jaimes and Lopez were recommended for the program by their managers.
