Dad Kills 2 Children In Norwalk Murder/Suicide, PD Says: UPDATE
Police discovered the bodies Monday morning in the garage of a home on Elizabeth Street in South Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — A 27-year-old father killed his two children before killing himself in a "family violence murder/suicide" on Monday morning at a home on Elizabeth Street in South Norwalk , according to Norwalk police.
Killed were 5-year-old Gessell Moncada and her brother, 4-year-old Jesus Moncada. Both children were from Norwalk. Their father was Yimi Moncada, also from Norwalk.
The three were discovered at about 7:35 a.m. in the garage of the home on Elizabeth Street.

"The Detective Bureau continues to investigate this morning's incident with the assistance of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner," said Lt. Terrence Blake in a statement. "The incident is being investigated as a family violence murder/suicide."
Norwalk police officers discovered the three after the department received a 911 hang-up call. The home is less than a block from Norwalk police headquarters.

"Arriving officers found 3 deceased persons in a detached garage on the property," Blake said in an earlier statement on Monday. "The Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit are on the scene at this time. Based upon the preliminary investigation, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public."
Additional details about how they died, and the circumstances surrounding the discovery, were not disclosed.
