3 Stores Sold Alcohol to Minors: Norwalk PD

Three stores failed and a large number passed a recent batch of compliance checks, police said.

NORWALK, CT — Three stores that sell alcohol in Norwalk failed in a recent batch of liquor compliance checks, according to police.

Police conducted underage liquor compliance on June 15 with the assistance of four minors.

The following establishments sold to minors, according to police:

  • Broad River Wine and Spirit 99 New Canaan Avenue
  • Harbor Avenue Liquor Store 48 Main Street
  • South Main Street Grocery and Deli 58 South Main Street

The following stores were found to be in compliance:

  • World of Beverages 295 Main Avenue,
  • New Canaan Avenue Liquor Store 119 New Canaan Avenue
  • Broad River Wine and Spirit 99 New Canaan Avenue
  • Spring Hill Liquor 1 Spring Hill Avenue
  • Harbor Avenue Liquor Store 48 Main Street
  • Wall Street Wine and Spirit 94 Wall Street
  • Budget Liquor Shop 542 West Avenue
  • South Main Street Grocery and Deli 58 South Main Street
  • Woodward Avenue Liquor Store 50 Woodward Avenue
  • Tropical Grocery 79 Cedar Street
  • Al’s Warehouse 617 Connecticut Avenue.

Referrals were made to the Liquor Control Division for stores found to not be in compliance.
