4D Theater Planned To Open At Maritime Aquarium: Report

The new theater will feature 4D sensory seats and other in-theater special effects.

NORWALK, CT — The Maritime Aquarium plans to begin building a new 179-seat 4D theater this fall, the Norwalk Hour reported. Construction of the theater is an advance response to the replacement of the Walk Bridge, which is scheduled to start late next year and will require removal of the aquarium's IMAX theater.

According to the Norwalk Hour, the new theater will feature 4D sensory seats and other four-dimensional in-theater effects that will allow guests to experience sensations such as wind and smells. The aquarium’s main entrance will close in early November to accommodate construction.
