Man Found Dead In Water At Norwalk Boating Docks, Police Investigating: UPDATE
Police said the body of a deceased man was found in the water near boating docks in Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — The body of a deceased man was found Wednesday morning in the water near boating docks in Norwalk, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said a man in the water was reported around 9:15 a.m. in the area of Water Street.
When officers from the department's Patrol Division and Marine Unit arrived in the area, they found an adult male in the water at the boating docks behind a portion of Water Street, Podgorski said.

According to Podgorski, the man was determined to be deceased at the time he was located.
Detectives pulled the man from the water with help from the Marine Unit, Podgorski said.

The identity of the man has not been release by police at this time.
According to Podgorski, the incident remains under active investigation.

In a post on X around 1o a.m., police said an active investigation was underway in the area of Water Street.
The department also noted there was no threat to public safety and residents were not in danger.
