Adult Drawing Workshops via Zoom with Darien Arts Center

Sign up now for one hour workshops on April 9 and 21 at darienarts.org

With it’s facilities closed to the public due to health and safety mandates, the Darien Arts Center is providing new creative opportunities for students of all ages.
Virtual Art Workshops for Adults:
Coffee and Draw with Joel Flora
Thursday, April 9th, 9:30-10:30am$10/Class
While the kids are in (virtual) school, join artist and DAC instructor Joel Flora on Thursday morning with your coffee and learn drawing techniques from the comfort of your own home. Joel will lead you through a series of exercises as you sketch home objects of your choice. Come relax, and get creative!
Once you have signed up, you will receive a Zoom link via email on the morning of the class . At class time, just click the link and join the fun!

From the Kitchen; Drawing Workshop with Nancy McTague-Stock
Tuesday, April 21st, 10-11am
$10.00/Class
Join artist and DAC instructor Nancy McTague Stock for a workshop you can take right from your kitchen! Nancy will lead participants on how to draw a still life, using anything from the kitchen, whether it is a bowl of fruit or flowers, or whatever you have on hand.

Afternoon Doodles

Grades 3 and up
Wednesdays, April 8th, 15th and 22nd, 1:30-2:30pm

Join artist and DAC instructor Nancy McTague Stock on Wednesdays to take a break from school work and get creative! Each week via Zoom, Nancy will lead a class using tools from your own house to create fun projects. Workshops will include drawing, collage and more. No art experience necessary.

Fine point marker in dark color

April 15th - My Favorite Recipe: Kids Create and Illustrate Their Favorite Recipes
Needed:
2 pieces paper 8.5 x11
Pencil, eraser
Ruler
Colored pencils or crayons or colored markers

April 22nd - Under The Sea: Create a Magical Underwater World of Fun with Colorful Collaging
Needed:
Large piece of colored paper (white or blue)
Colored paper
Glue stick
Scissors
Colored paper, or wrapping papers in metallic finishes, or newspaper or magazine pages
Crayons or markers or colored pencils
