AFC Urgent Care Hosts 'Ted. E. Bear' Fairs

American Family Care (AFC) Urgent Care, a national leader in urgent care walk-in clinics, will host fun and educational Ted E. Bear Urgent Care Fairs at its Stamford, Norwalk and Fairfield centers on Saturday, May 14 from 10 am to 1 pm.

Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals or dolls to the AFC clinics for examination and treatment by clinicians. Urgent care staff will escort the “patients” through several stations to receive checkups, x-rays and bandages or other treatments. Doctors and other medical professionals will explain the procedures to alleviate children’s fear of healthcare visits by helping them understand what to expect. The event will also feature refreshments, giveaways and facility tours for members of the community.

Patients are seen by board-certified physicians and experienced staff on a walk-in basis and receive prompt, personalized evaluation and treatment.
