Investigators say the northbound driver fled without helping, and they’re urging anyone with information to call or text anonymous tips to assist the ongoing case.
• Public Works Committee advances lower snow fines, higher waste disposal fees (nancyonnorwalk.com) — Norwalk’s Public Works Committee has voted to advance a plan that would cut residential sidewalk snow-removal fines to $50 while raising solid waste and yard waste disposal fees and adding new charges for nonprofits using city barrels and barricades. The proposal, which still needs full council approval, also comes with stricter snow enforcement and possible assistance discussions for seniors and disabled residents.
